The Pakistan cricket team held an indoor training session ahead of the third ODI against South Africa on Saturday due to persistent rain.
The players actively participated in various training sessions, focusing on both bowling and batting as they aimed for a clean sweep in the ongoing ODI series.
Spinners, including Abrar Ahmed, took part in net training as they prepared for the crucial clash.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan are currently leading the three-match ODI series 2-0 after defeating South Africa by 81 runs in the second match.
Chasing 330, South Africa were bowled out for 248, with Heinrich Klaasen scoring 97.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was the best bowler with figures of 4/47, supported by 3/37 from Naseem Shah.
Pakistan’s innings started poorly with Abdullah Shafique’s duck, but Babar Azam (52) and Mohammad Rizwan (54) shared a 115-run partnership, helping Pakistan recover.
Babar scored 73 off 95 deliveries with the help of seven fours. Rizwan remained Pakistan’s top scorer with 82-ball 80s, laced with 10 boundaries, including three sixes.
Coming out to bat at No. 6, Kamran took the reins of Pakistan’s batting expedition with a bang.
The right-handed batsman hit four fours and five sixes on his way to a 32-ball 63.
This series marks Mohammad Rizwan’s third consecutive ODI series victory as captain of Pakistan.
He won his first assignment against Australia in November, where the Men in Green won the series 2–1, marking their first series win on Australian soil since 2002.
After that, Pakistan won the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe 2–1.
The third and final ODI between the Men in Green and the Proteas will take place in Johannesburg on Sunday.
