PSL presents Fans’ Choice Awards before the 10th edition

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday announced the presentation of the Fans’ Choice Awards to celebrate nine successful years of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to the cricket board, local and foreign players who have participated in previous editions of the premier league will be nominated and the nominations will then be opened for voting.

Nominations would be categorized into six categories: best batsman, best bowler, best all-rounder, most valuable player (MVP), best individual batting and best individual bowling.

After nomination, the decision is entirely up to the fans as the player who receives the highest number of votes in each category will be deemed the winner in the much-awaited player draft scheduled to be held in Gwadar, Balochistan on January 11. 2025.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer, in a statement released by the PCB, termed the fans as the epitome of the league’s success over the years and shared that the newly introduced awards will recognize their passion and dedication.

“The long and successful journey of the HBL PSL would not have been possible without the staunch support of our loyal fans, who are an integral part of the success of this league. The Fans’ Choice Awards are our way of recognizing their passion and dedication, providing them with a platform to recognize their favorite players and moments as we celebrate the best of the HBL PSL together.

“We all know there have been breathtaking performances and unforgettable moments throughout the history of this league. The Fans’ Choice Awards aims to showcase what makes the HBL PSL truly special, a tribute to the players who inspire them and the fans who support them.”

The 10th edition of the marquee league is scheduled to take place from April 9th ​​to May 19th next year.
