Pakistan created history by becoming the first team to whitewash South Africa in a bilateral ODI series at home.

With this remarkable series win, Pakistan not only secured a 3-0 victory over South Africa but also cemented their place in history as the first team to achieve this feat on South African soil.

In the third and final match, Pakistan posted a formidable total of 308/9 after being asked to bat first.

The innings was anchored by a brilliant knock from Saim Ayub, who scored 101 off 94 balls, including 13 boundaries and two sixes.

Ayub formed a vital 114-run partnership with captain Babar Azam (52 off 71 balls), which played a crucial role in stabilizing the innings.

Mohammad Rizwan also made an important contribution, scoring his 15th ODI half-century, an impressive 53 off 52 balls.

Agha Salman provided the final strike with a quickfire 48 off 32 balls, including three boundaries and two sixes, to take Pakistan to an impressive total.

South Africa’s chase started solidly but the visitors struggled to maintain the momentum and ended up losing wickets at regular intervals.

The Proteas’ top scorer was Heinrich Klaasen, who hit 81 off 43 balls, including 12 boundaries and two sixes.

Jansen contributed a steady 26, but despite the late heroics of Corbin Bosch, who added a quick 40, South Africa fell short, finishing their innings at 271 all out in 42 overs, resulting in Pakistan winning by 36 runs.

Pakistan’s bowlers were exceptional, with Sufiyan Muqeem leading the attack.

He took 4 wickets for 52 runs in 8 overs, providing crucial breakthroughs at important times.

Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah supported well, each taking two wickets, while Saim Ayub and Mohammad Hasnain contributed one wicket each.

The victory further reinforced Mohammad Rizwan’s reputation as a leader, marking his third consecutive ODI series triumph as Pakistan’s captain.

Rizwan’s tenure as captain began with a historic 2-1 victory against Australia – the first on Australian soil since 2002 – followed by a 2-1 victory over Zimbabwe earlier this month.
