Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi recently held a crucial meeting with Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation President Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud to discuss collaborative efforts to promote cricket and develop players in Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the global growth of cricket and extended an invitation to Prince Saud to visit Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

He also pledged the PCB’s full support in improving Saudi Arabia’s cricket infrastructure.

“We will give full support to the development of cricket and the construction of stadiums,” assured Naqvi.

He emphasized the importance of skill development and proposed a player exchange program to bring emerging Saudi cricketers to Pakistan for professional training.

“Saudi Arabia can send its emerging actors to Pakistan. A player exchange program can be started for the development of cricket,” Naqvi said.

“Saudi Arabia is like a second home for all Pakistanis. We will be happy to collaborate”, he added.

Prince Saud bin Mishal expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing interest and success in cricket.

He noted that Saudi Arabia’s national cricket team recently won the Asian Cricket Council’s Challenge Cup and shared his aspiration to work closely with Pakistan to further promote the sport.

“There are approximately 18,000 cricket players in Saudi Arabia and we have already won the Asian Cricket Council Challenge Cup,” said Prince Saud.

“We want to work closely with Pakistan to promote cricket,” he added.
