KUALA LAMPUR: Pakistan Under-19s are set to begin their campaign in the inaugural ACC Women’s Under-19 T20 Asian Cup on Sunday, taking on India at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval.

Led by Zoofishan Ayyaz, Pakistan will play their second match of the tournament against Nepal on Monday, December 16.

Reflecting on the preparation, the Pakistan captain said: “We had good training before we arrived here in Malaysia and the players are looking forward to performing well in the tournament.”

“We will take one game at a time and the players are fully focused on showcasing their talent in the tournament,” he added.

Meanwhile, the six-team tournament will be played in the T20 format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super-Four stage.

The Super-Four stage matches will be played on December 19th and 20th, while the final is scheduled for December 22nd.

In accordance with the tournament format, additional matches for fifth and sixth positions, as well as third and fourth positions, will be played on December 18th and 22nd respectively.

The women in green went on a five-day camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Center in Karachi.

Alongside Pakistan, India and Nepal are placed in Group A, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

December 22 – 3rd/4th place play-off (9:30 am KL time); final (2pm KL time)
