WATCH: Pakistan T20I squad leaves for South Africa

BULAWAYO: The Pakistan T20I team left for South Africa on Friday for the upcoming red-and-white ball series, set to begin on December 10.

Salman Ali Agha, Irfan Khan Niazi, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Hasnain, Usman Khan, Abbas Afridi, Jahandad Khan, Sufyan Muqeem, Tayyab Tahir and Omair Bin Yousuf are traveling to Durban.

White-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan, who was not part of Pakistan’s squad for the T20I series against Zimbabwe, will join the team in Durban along with Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Pacer Shaheen Afridi will only feature in the white-ball matches, while Mohammad Abbas replaced him in the red-ball format. Its inclusion aims to ensure the best physical preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Also, Naseem Shah returns to the team for Tests and ODIs after missing the recent series against England and Zimbabwe.

The ODI and Test teams will depart on December 13, with red-ball coach Jason Gillespie set to join the team in Johannesburg ahead of the Test series.

The upcoming series, comprising two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is, will take place from December 10 to January 7.

• December 10 – First T20I, Durban

• December 13 – Second T20I, Centurion

• December 14 – Third T20I, Johannesburg

• December 17 – First ODI, Paarl

• December 19 – Second ODI, Cape Town

• December 22 – Third ODI, Johannesburg

• December 26th to 30th – First test, Centurion

• 3rd to 7th January – Second test, Cape Town
