JOHANNESBURG: Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and pacer Shaheen Afridi handed over a check to Cricket South Africa (CSA) on behalf of the Shahid Afridi Foundation.

The donation contributes to the fight against breast cancer, in line with the spirit of the Pink Day initiative, which aims to raise awareness and support research into breast cancer.

The Shahid Afridi Foundation has long been committed to philanthropic efforts, especially in the fields of health and education, with projects ranging from hospital construction to community development programs.

Rizwan and Afridi’s gesture during this special occasion reflects the foundation’s dedication to impactful social causes.

On the field, the game witnessed stellar performances from Pakistan.

Saim Ayub showcased his batting prowess with a magnificent century, scoring 101 runs – his second ton of the series and third of his ODI career.

Captain Mohammad Rizwan (53) and Babar Azam (52) also made valuable contributions, guiding Pakistan to a competitive total of 308 for 9 in 47 overs at the innings break.

This series further solidified Mohammad Rizwan’s leadership credentials, marking his third consecutive ODI series win as captain.

Under his leadership, Pakistan secured victories against Australia and Zimbabwe, including a historic triumph against Australia on their home soil, ending a drought that lasted two decades.
